Dolphins driving? - The latest Citroën advert

The latest in a long line of memorable Citroën adverts breaks cover next week with the unusual sight of dolphins driving. To the soundtrack of Beyond the Sea (La Mer)*, the marine animals are seen playfully ‘driving’ Citroën’s C3 supermini underwater to emphasise the message that the C3 is designed for happiness. Revised line-up for Citroen’s Xsara Picasso

Citroën has announced that it is streamlining its evergreen Xsara Picasso range. To be built around the Desire and VTX models, the revised Xsara Picasso range will continue to offer UK car buyers a great value entry into the compact MPV market.

With almost 250,000 models already sold in this country, the Xsara Picasso has been the UK’s number one MPV for private buyers since its launch, a title it continues to hold to this day. Now sitting alongside its state-of-the-art stablemates – the brand new seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso and five-seat C4 Picasso – the Xsara Picasso offers the space and versatility of a compact MPV for the price of a mini-MPV, making it particularly appealing to customers looking at smaller cars such as the Vauxhall Meriva and Renault Modus.

Loeb back where he belongs after victory in Portugal

Citroën’s triple World Rally champion Sébastien Loeb is back at the top of the driver’s standings after an emphatic victory in the Rally of Portugal last weekend (March 30 -01 April). The Frenchman and co-driver Daniel Elena took all six stages on Saturday to set up their third success in this campaign, extending their record to 31 wins in total.

A triumphant Loeb commented: “It was pretty much a perfect weekend for us. My set up wasn’t ideally suited to the terrain during Friday’s first loop but we managed to fine-tune the balance and it was much more to my liking after that. The recent Rally of Mexico and the testing we have done since also helped us find a good set-up for the C4. Step by step, we are gradually exploiting more and more of its potential.”
